Day 1: Yangon arrival & Evening tour

Day 2: Yangon city tour & take night train/bus to Bagan

Day 1 (Yangon Arrival & Evening Tour)
Meal: None

Upon arrival to Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by our local guide and transfer to your hotel. Check in the hotel and relax. If, it’s early for check in, we will do the sightseeing.

After refreshment at the hotel, visit Botahtaung Pagoda where you can visit inside the stupa and can see the original hair relic of Buddha. Then, continue to the famous Sprit Shrine next door to the pagoda. If you wish, you can feed the fish, tortoise and pigeons inside the pagoda complex.

Then, continue to the glorious Shwe Dagon Pagoda. One of the holiest places in Myanmar with long history and every Buddhists in Myanmar, nowadays Thailand as well, try to visit at least once in their lives. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, topaz and other precious stones.

After your pagoda visit, continue to China Town and take a walk at the night market with many vendors along the street and visit to Chinese temple. At the end, you may enjoy a sip of cold beer with BBQ at the famous 19th Street, seen the best ending for your day.

Then, transfer back to your hotel.           

Overnight in Yangon – 3 star Grand United Hotel (or) Similar

Day 2 (Yangon Sightseeing & Train to Bagan)
Meal: Breakfast

After your breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your walking tour through the heart of Yangon where most of the colonial buildings are located. Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Independence Monuments and Park, High Court, Secretariat, old banks, private company and residences buildings are holding an elegant beauty of Yangon and each building has own story to tell you. Stop walking at the famous Strand Hotel and feel the warmth and atmosphere of British era.

Then, continue to Pansoedan jetty serving locals living across the Yangon River, Dala. Take the ferry and cross the river, where’s your Dala Trishaw Tour starts. It will take about one hour where you can enjoy the different lifestyle of Yangon and visit to some home factories like spring roll sheets factory, candle light factory and other sites such as fishermen villages, monastery to see our monastic education, orphanage school, Saint’s dead body etc. Then, take the ferry and come back to Yangon.

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant and proceed to visit Chaukhtutgyi Reclining Buddha Image.

Then, continue to National Museum where much of collections are displayed showcasing the culture, the people and glorious history of Myanmar including the Lion Throne.

Visit Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) market famous for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. It is one of the major bazaars in Yangon and built in 1926 by the British. You can buy from a simple Myanmar slipper to a jewelry crown there.

Then, transfer to train station for your night train to Bagan.

Day 3 (Bagan Sightseeing with Horse Cart Ride)
Meal: None

Upon arrival Bagan, meet your Bagan local guide and enjoy your sightseeing in Bagan before check in the hotel.

visit to most popular temples – Shwezigon Pagoda, Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, Htilominlo Temple, Anada Temple, Manuha Temple, Nanbnaya Temple, Kyan Sitthar U Min, Shwe San Daw Pagoda, Thet Byin Nyu Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple, Pyatthada Pagoda are sure to impress and if you see a temple that interests you, just ask your guide to stop for a look.

Enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant. If you wish, you can take a rest to stay away from heat.

After your refreshment, visit to lacquer ware workshop which is the most famous handicraft in Myanmar.

Then, enjoy the horse cart ride for about 1 hr among the pagoda sea for the truly taste of Bagan.

In the end, stop at a temple and enjoy the unforgettable temple sunset to make your day perfect.

Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Overnight in Bagan - 3 Star Bawgatheikddi Hotel (or) Similar

Day 4 (Mt.Popa & Sunset boat)
Meal: Breakfast (OPTION: Picnic lunch is available)

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Popa for about an hour.

Visit to Nats/Spirits shrines at the bottom of Mt.Popa – an extinct volcano.

Climb over 700 steps to the pagoda at the peak of the extinct volcano and enjoy the dramatic scenery. After exploration in Mt.Popa, head back to Bagan.

On the way back, walk around a simple Burmese rural village in dry zone which is take you back about 100 years.

Continue to Bagan, visit to Toddies Palm Plantation and observe local working life with palm trees and its products.

Enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant and drive back to Bagan.

Then, continue sightseeing in Bagan as you wish.

In the evening, transfer to jetty and floating along the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River while the sun is going down, will make your day perfect. 

Transfer to bus terminal for your overnight bus to Inle Lake.

Overnight on Coach – VIP Bus

Day 5 (Inle Lake Boat Excursion)
Meal: None (OPTION: Home Cooked lunch is available)

Upon arrival, meet your Inle Local guide and transfer to your hotel to leave your baggage behind.

Then, start your sightseeing with 5-days rotating market (the market held every five day on rotating basic) and explore with your knowledgeable local guide where you can learn more about their life styles and visit to the land mark pagoda of Inle Lake – Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Then, explore the life of Intha, the people who live on the lake, see and feel their beautiful culture including unique leg rolling fisherman and floating garden.

Visiting their earning home factories like silk and lotus weaving, silver smith, black smith, cheroot making and wondering around the fishermen village and agriculture village will understand you more about their ways of lives. Then, return to Nyaung Shwe.

Day 6 (Indein, Vineyard)
Meal: Breakfast

After breakfast at the hotel, visit to Indein Pagoda forest by boat and explore the 16th century complex with its main pagoda and more than 1,000 weathered stupas covered in vines and take in the serene atmosphere off the beaten path. Walk for an hour to enjoy the fantastic views over the lake.

After exploration in Indein, return back to Nyaung Shwe and visit to Vineyard by tuk tuk before your night bus to Mandalay.

Overnight on Coach – VIP Bus

Day 7 (Cruise to Mingun & Mandalay city tour)
Meal: None

Upon arrival, meet your Mandalay local guide and transfer to jetty for your upstream cruise to Mingun along the Ayeyawaddy River, enjoy the lively sceneries of ways of lives in the river.

Upon arrival Mingun, visit Pahtodawgyi temple, King Bodawpaya began construction in 1790 that if it had been completed, would become one of the biggest in the world. Gaze in wonder at cracks in the structure which remain from the 1839 earthquake.

See the enormous Mingun Bell that weighs roughly 90 tons (200,000 lb).

Visit to the former residence of the famous monk in Myanmar who was listed in Guinness Book as a record holder in the Human memory category.

Continue to Set Taw Yar Pagoda which was constructed as the meaning of Taj Maha in India.

Then, walk back to jetty and cruise back to Mandalay. Enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant.

After your lunch, transfer to your hotel and take a rest for a while.

After your refreshment, visit to “Gold Leaf” making factory which is used to donate Pagoda and very typical handicraft in Mandalay.

Then, start your Mandalay city tour with “Mya Nan San Kyaw Golden Palace” which is the last palace of Myanmar kingdom. Then, continue to “Shwe Kyaung”, an impressive wood carving monastery was moved from Mandalay Palace. Then, visit to “Kuthodaw Pagoda” which is also known as world biggest book and one of the UNESCO Recognized Site, engraving Buddha Literatures in over 700 stone inscriptions.

In the end, finish your day on Mandalay hill while watching the sun goes down over Mandalay City, will make your day more beautiful.

Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Overnight in Mandalay – 3 star Yadanarpon Dynasty Hotel (or) Similar

Day 8 (Outskirts of Mandalay)
Meal: Breakfast

After your breakfast at the hotel, head to Mahamunni Buddha Image which is the landmark pagoda of Mandalay.

Continue drive to Sagaing Hill and visit Sunn Oo Ponya Shin and U Min Thone Zal (Thirty Cave Pagoda) on the tranquil Sagaing Hill. Also drop by at a local silverware cottage industry.

Then, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant and drive to Ava.

Explore Ava Ancient Capital by horse cart and visit Bargayar monastery, built in 1834 AD, leaning tower or Nanmyint tower built in 1822 AD, Maenu Stuccomonastery or Mahaaungmyaebonsan monastery built in 1822AD.

After exploration in Ava, drive back to Amarapura Township (former capital in 18th century). If time allow, visit to weaving industry and the biggest monastery to learn about our Buddhist monkhood in Myanmar. In the end, enjoy the sunset at the world famous Teak Bridge (U Bein Bridge).

Then, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 9 (Fly back to Yangon & Departure)
