Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: Yangon arrival & sightseeing, overnight bus to Bagan

Day 2: Bagan Sightseeing, overnight in Bagan

Day 3: Bagan – Mt. Popa Sightseeing, overnight bus to Yangon

Day 4: Yangon Sightseeing & Departure

Day 1 (Yangon Arrival & Sightseeing)
Meal: None

Upon arrival to Yangon International Airport, you will be welcomed by our local guide and start your wonderful day in Yangon.

First, visit to Chaukhtutgyi Reclining Buddha Image and enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant.

Then, proceed to Botahtaung Pagoda where you can visit inside the stupa and can see the original hair relic of Buddha. Then, continue to the famous Sprit Shrine next door to the pagoda. If you wish, you can feed the fish, tortoise and pigeons inside the pagoda complex.

After that, enjoy a walking tour through the heart of Yangon where most of the colonial buildings are located. Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Independence Monuments and Park, High Court, Secretariat, old banks, private company and residences buildings are holding an elegant beauty of Yangon and each building has own story to tell you. Continue visit to Pansoedan jetty serving locals living across the Yangon River. Stop walking at the famous Strand Hotel and feel the warmth and atmosphere of British era.

After luxurious relax at the Strand Hotel, drive to Kandawgyi Lake and enjoy the stunning view of Shwe Dagon Pagoda. Walk around the park and feel the breeze.

Finally, visit to the glorious Shwe Dagon Pagoda. One of the holiest places in Myanmar with long history and every Buddhists in Myanmar, nowadays Thailand as well, try to visit at least once in their lives. The massive bell shaped stupa is plated with gold and the tip of the stupa is set with diamonds, rubies, sapphires, topaz and other precious stones.

After your exploration, transfer to bus terminal and take overnight bus to Bagan.

Day 2 (Bagan Sightseeing)
Meal: Lunch

Upon Bagan arrival, meet our car and guide at the bus terminal and start your day with wonderful sunrise from a high temple.

After your wonderful sunrise, continue to colorful local market.

Then, visit to most popular temples – Shwezigon Pagoda, Gu Byauk Gyi Temple, Htilominlo Temple, Anada Temple, Manuha Temple, Nanbnaya Temple, Kyan Sitthar U Min, Shwe San Daw Pagoda, Thet Byin Nyu Temple, Dhamayangyi Temple, Pyatthada Pagoda are sure to impress and if you see a temple that interests you, just ask your guide to stop for a look.

Enjoy our Myanmar Traditional Buffet lunch at the local restaurant.

Then, check in hotel. If you wish, you can take a rest to stay away from heat.

After your refreshment, visit to lacquer ware workshop which is the most famous handicraft in Myanmar and continue sightseeing in Bagan.

After your exploration in Bagan, transfer to jetty and take a boat to float along the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River while the sun is going down, will make your day perfect.  

Then, transfer back to your hotel in Bagan.

Day 3 (Bagan – Mt.Popa)
Meal: Breakfast

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Popa for about an hour.

Visit to Nats/Spirits shrines at the bottom of Mt.Popa – an extinct volcano.

Climb over 700 steps to the pagoda at the peak of the extinct volcano and enjoy the dramatic scenery. After exploration in Mt.Popa, head back to Bagan.

On the way back, walk around a simple Burmese rural village in dry zone which is take you back about 100 years.

Continue to Bagan, visit to Toddies Palm Plantation and observe local working life with palm trees and its products.

Enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant and drive back to Bagan.

Then, continue sightseeing in Bagan as you wish.

In the evening, enjoy the horse cart ride for about 1 hr among the pagoda sea for the truly taste of Bagan. In the end, stop at a temple and enjoy the unforgettable temple sunset to make your day perfect.

Then, transfer to bus terminal for your overnight bus to Yangon.

Day 4 (Yangon – Departure)
Meal: Breakfast

Upon Yangon arrival, meet our car and guide at the bus terminal.

Then, visit to morning vegetable wholesales market and enjoy the typical Burmese breakfast at the local shop that’s Mohingar (fish soup with rice vermicelli).

Then, take the circular train about one hour for your experience and touch the local community.

Then, visit Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) market famous for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. It is one of the major bazaars in Yangon and built in 1926 by the British. You can buy from a simple Myanmar slipper to a jewelry crown there.

After your shopping, enjoy your lunch at the local restaurant.

In the end, relax and enjoy the foot massage before transferring to airport for your departure.
