Brief Itinerary:

Morning:  Pick up & drive to Bago by private car

Afternoon:  Bago Sightseeings

Evening:  Come back to Yangon by car (OR) train and transfer back to your departure point.

Meet our English speaking guide and car at your departure point.

Drive to Bago which will take about 2 hours, on the way, visit to the Htaukkyant World War II Memorial.

Upon arrival to Bago, visit Kyaik Pun Buddha Image - Huge Four Sitting Buddha Images sitting back to back to four directions. It’s originated in 7th Century AD and renovated by King Dhammazedi in 15th Century AD.

Then, continue to Kyatkatwine Monastery where monks study Buddhist literature. Learn about the life of Buddhist monk in Myanmar.

After learning about the monastic life, visit to Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda which is the landmark of Bago and its spire is even taller than the great Shwedagon Pagoda .

Kanbawzathadi Golden Palace, one of the most important places for Myanmar history, is located in Bago, originally constructed in 16th Century but it was burnt down and now rebuilt on the same size.

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant and continue the remaining sightseeing until your train time.

If you take train, depending on your time available, you can visit to –

  • Snake Pagoda, where a big Burmese python stays.
  • Home Weaving factory that's where you can observe our traditional weaving style and recommended place to buy longgyi (traditional lower wear, also known as Sarong) that can be used to cover your legs during your visit to holy pagodas.
  • Shwe Thalyaung Reclining Buddha, which was originated from 994 AD.
  • Maha Zedi Pagoda, which was built by King Bayinnaung in 16th Century AD who is the founder of Second Myanmar Empire and Kanbawzathadi Golden Palace in Bago.

After excursion in Bago, transfer to train station and take 2 hrs train ride to Yangon Central Station, enjoy the rural Burmese sceneries and alternative experience sharing with local people.

Then, meet your car at the Yangon Central Station and transfer to your hotel.


If you don’t want the train, you can also go back to Yangon by car and transfer to your hotel.
